Karissa Uhrain currently lives and works in Wilmington, North Carolina. She has a bachelor’s degree from Coastal Carolina University in Studio Art, as well as a Minor in Art History.

Her user name on socials is Witzend Wanderer, a nod to her love for Alice in Wonderland and fondness for traveling. As of 2025, she has been to eight different countries.

A self-proclaimed thalassophile, her adoration for the ocean is unending and is often reflected in her work.
